Hi,

It seems that my Internet Explorer has some spyware or sort, whenever I
connect to the internet with IE, 2 shortcuts will automatically be created
on my desktop and pointing to http://www.idgsearch.com/......html, is there
anyway I can remove them from my system?

Thanks in advance.

Try downloading ad-aware software program from
downloads.com, this is the best spyware tool I've found
recently to remove junk from systems. I use it often in
my field to remove problems from computers. Make sure
when you install it, run the update first to get the most
recent removal tools.

Good luck!

You can use a spyware killer program called Ad-aware.
but, the new Norton Anvirus (2004) supports the spyware
killing, too.

Hi,

I had tried both Spybot and Ad Aware but it still doesn't remove the
problem, however, I'm running Norton Antivirus 2004, how do I use it to kill
the spyware?

thanks

Hi,

Tried both Spybot and Ad Aware but still having the same problems. Anyway,
what is a home page hijacker?

A home page hijacker is a program that gets installed, usually without you
knowing, and takes over your home page / start page in Internet Explorer and
also takes over your search engines. It sets them to what they want and
doesn't allow you to change it back.(unless you have a removal tool)
Check your add/remove programs for anything that looks funny or anything you
did not install and uninstall it.
Try hijackthis as well.

Nortons AV 2004 does not do syware. It does catch at least one adware
program but that's about it.
