Internet Explorer progress bar

Recently I have lost the progress bar that appears at the
bottom of IE. The one that shows the progress after a URL
has been entered in the address bar.

I am running XP Home SP1. Anyone have an idea?

Just the progress or the whole status bar? If the latter you can check
"status bar" in the view menu.
