Internet Explorer problem

Recently when I am surfing I get to a page and as soon as
that page starts to load, with no prompting Internet
Explorer will change to this page
(res://mshp.dll/http_404.htm) and if I press the back
button it will imediately load the above page again which
is a dead link. please help
