Internet Explorer Options

When now trying to access IE internet options I am told
that the "operation has been caneceled due to restrictions
in effect on this computer". I must have made some
inadvertent change but don't know where to make the change
back. Any help.
 
Start\Run\Gpedit.msc..... by default, all directives are... Not Configured,
look for
one that says Enabled in the State Column and relates to IE.

Hello Jim,

Take a look at the following KB, it is for IE 5.0 but should still apply to
IE 6 -
