"...Internet explorer needs to close"

I'm being plagued by frequently getting the message: "Internet Explorer has
encountered a problem and need to close." It usually happens when I'm looking
at an interactive Weather map, especially the one at www.weather.com.

One of the items that shows up in the details is flash9.ocx which I
installed after it was suggested as a fix (but it didn't help).

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
