Help, everytime I boot my PC, my home page for IE6 is
being resset and a whole load of shortcuts are being
added to My Favorites and my desktop. How can I find the
offending programme or virus that is doing this at start
up?? I have run full virus checks and it has found
nothing out of the ordinary.

Hi,

It could be that an advertising program is responsible for the changing of
your start page, and the addition of shortcuts. Some of these programs may not
necessarily be found through a virus scan, so it may be necessary to use a
program such as AdAware to identify and delete the program.

You can download AdAware from:

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

Once you download and install the program, ensure that you have updated it
with the latest definition. This will ensure that you will be protected against
the latest versions of such programs.

This should, at least partly, remedy the situation.
