Ok, here's my problem. For some reason YAHOO is showing up as my homepage on
EXPLORER and I'm not wanting YAHOO as my homepage. I've gone to internet
options trying to change the homepage site, but when I go to home again,
YAHOO is there. How can I change this???

Options/settings in several third-party applications may be disallowing the
change(s) from "sticking" when you reboot. These include Ad-aware's
Ad-Watch, Spybot Tea Timer, SpywareBlaster, SpySweeper, Norton AntiVirus,
McAfee VirusScan and/or Antispyware, and Zone Alarm (Free and Pro).

What on earth do you need HiJackThis 1.99 for? I actually use this utility a
lot due to I removed adware... from 1000's of peoples machines in the past.

If you need to use this application to change the homepage then you need to
change it in the options first.

Another thing you failed to mention when using this app. is that you
shouldn't run it from places like the Desktop etc. & that is a
recommendation

HiJackThis' homepage is here:

http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php:

Are you on commission for that Kelly site? Do you have permission from the
developer for hosting their application?

Now for PA Bear:

Since when have Norton Antivirus or McCrappy stopped you from changing your
homepage? Never

Plus some of the products you mentioned there produce false positives &
shouldn't be recommended.

What programs would be hijacking the machine to set the homepage to Yahoo?

Not being funny, but you need to do your homework a little

OP. What Yahoo products have you installed on your machine?

Example: Did you install Yahoo Pager with things like use set as hompage,
default search engine etc? If so, is Yahoo running on Windows startup?

Do you have a Yahoo toolbar?

These are the sort of things that we need to know before diagnosing your
problem

Await to hear from you
