http://files/Internet Explorer/IEXPLORE.EXE

This is what pops up in my address bar. I do have a Hompage set and when I
click on the Home Icon, it does take me there. So in otherwords, instead of
IE taking me to my hompage when I get on the internet, it pops up with the
above address.

I have run my adware and hijacking software and still no luck. I have SP2
installed as well. Please help.

Thank You

Hmmmm.... weird. What do you guys think. Could this be a host file problem?
Jezter have you tryed setting your homepage to differant pages? Do you have a
virus scanner? If not goto www.antivirus.com and use the free online scan.

P.S. Id like to know what this one ends up being. Seems like spyware to me
but he didnt find any.

Wood, I tried setting a few different pages but that didn't work. No viruses
either. It's like it tried to load the IE exec, but it doesn't. I installed
the latest d/l for IE for SP2 too.

Ok Jezter. Check this registry entry.

hkey_classes_root\exefiles\shell\open\command\(default)

See if this key is set to "%1" %*

If it isn't. Backup your registry then change it to look exaclty as below.

"%1" %*
