Ok, I have Internet Explorer 6.0, this question is probly pretty simple but I
can't figure out hot to do it for the life of me. When ever I go to google or
yahoo and use there search it is so annoying seeing a drop down box under the
type box of all the things i have searched for in the past. Does anyone know
how to take it off???

Hi
Usually under the option menu of the tool there is an entry to clean the
History.
Jack (MVP-Networking).

Adding to Jack advice, Try to clear your caches and internet files and
cookies,, by Right Click on the IE icon on your Desktop then select
Properties and on IE properties window on General Tab Clear the History,
Cookies and Internet files.

Then turn OFF AutoComplete to prevent IE remember your websites addresses
and input them auto for you, to that click on the Content Tab while you are
on IE properties window and Under Personal Information click on AutoComplete
Button and there uncheck whatever suite your search need from Forms,
Passwords, Web addresses and click OK when finished and on the IEmain window
click Apply/OK and Reboot your machine then go to the search engine and see
what it can remember.

HTH
Please let us know.
Regards
nass
