Paul

I am running Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP. I use the
BT Broadband service and, unitl recently, everything
seemed to be working fine.

However, although i seem to be able to make a connection
to the internet - i have check by ping and contacted
service providers - when i try to use MS Internet
Explorer, is appears blank and idle. Other programs that
require net connection have also ceased to work.
OVERNIGHT!!! I really don't understand how i could turn
off the computer with evrthing working as it should, only
to turn the thing back on and this is waiting for me.

I have tested for viruses, used Norton, the latest Stinger
program and a program especially desgned for the Beagle
virus - all to no avail. I have also checked every
possible browser and connection setting i can think of,
and reinstalled explorer several times. Nothing seems to
resolve the situation.

If anyone could shed some light on this, or could offer
any helpful advice, i would be really grateful.

Thanks! Paul - p.s. i have managed to gain access to the
internet through college so feel free to mail me if you
have any useful info. @ (e-mail address removed)

thanks again.
