I have been trying to fix this problem forever - I hope
someone can help. I will give an example, it is easier to
explain that way. I open IE and choose for example
www.symantec.com to get to their website. Then I choose the
symantec security check at the bottom of their home page.
When I click on that link IE opens a second window with a
different name as well as the original window showing
Symantec. When that second window opens, IE freezes
completely, I get an error message and IE closes after
about five seconds. I am running Windows XP and I have
tried everything that I can find online regarding this. I
also have Tweak XP on my machine but I don't know if that
has anything to do with it. Someone asked my if I had
something to combat aggressive pop ups but I don't know
enough about this problem to know if it ties into this
issue. It is a hard problem to explain and I am finding
more and more web sites that require IE instead of Netscape
which is the browser I finally switched to out of pure
frustration. I appreciate any and all help and ideas that
you may be able to give me - I have been troubleshooting
this issue off and on for the past year or so.
