Internet explorer freeze

Internet explorer (6.0, sp 2) freezes after entering an address in the
address bar and must be closed using the task manager. When opened the home
page opens fine, and accessing bookmarked sites (My Favorites) works as well.

Hi Brian0704, I have the same problem. Started about two days ago. I've been
searching around, and read it could be a problem with an automatic update
related to Explorer and HP peripherial products like printers.
Have you found out how to fix it, or will Microsoft come up with a patch?

Thanks for the response. I did eventually fix the problem, I believe it was
malware.

Not exactly sure how I fixed the problem. I did restore the system to a
date before the problem started and went through extensive cleaning, I
believe it was malware. I now run Ad-Aware on a very regular basis.
