Internet Explorer Favorites

How do I configure IE Favorites so that they are displayed
in alphabetical order. I've tried using the organize
button and various forms of right clicking etc. and the
results are hardly consistent. Also they seem to revert
back to wherever they want to position themselves the
minute I reboot.
Suggestions?
