Internet Explorer Error message

I have Windows XP home edition. The internet explorer
will not launch, we get an immediate error message, so we
cannot go online.
Error Signature:
Appname: Iexplore.exe
Modver: 0.0.0.0
Appver; 6.0.2600.0
ModName sysit32.dll
Offset: 000143ce

What do I do?

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
