Internet explorer default download folder

I have changed the default IE download folder and now want to change it back
to the default. I know how to do this but I cannot remember what the
default folder is?

IMHO, there is no "default" folder.
The download folder was probably the Desktop when you first started
but the download folder is whatever you wish it to be.
Download something, select a folder and that will be the download
folder until you change it.

Directory.

But once you change the Download Directory within from IE then it will
automatically change the key in registry as well. So, as said by "Alan" there
is no permanent Download Directory.
