internet explorer closes after opening new window

When I open a new IE windows the previous IE window will dissappear.
Or when 1 IE window was open and I wanted to open a new window for browsing
another site, the first window will dissappear.

Why is this happening? Pls help
im using windows xp pro SP2

Try the following and see if it helps:

From IE> Tools> Internet Options> Advanced> Browsing> Unncheck "Reuse
windows
for launching shortcuts."

If you have a toolbar or program running that blocks pop-up windows, such as
Yahoo Companion, Google toolbar, MSN toolbar, etc., disable them, Yahoo
Companion is known to cause various problems and should be uninstalled.
