Internet Explorer 8

I'm running Vista Home Premium with SP1. I recently upgraded to IE8. Since
then I've been having lockup problems when trying to run a virus sccan
(Norton) and wwhen trying to run Regcure.

Any help would be greatle appreciate it.

Please try the IE7/8 group.
The recommended newsgroup is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In a proper newsreader:

Hi Bob,

Check with Symantec on compatibility issues with their software and IE8. As
for Regcure, remove it from your system before it does any irrepairable
damage.

First of all, get rid of Norton. Norton is a memory hog and causes more
problems than it cures. Do a Google search on AVAST FREE and use that. It
is much better.

Don't think Rick meant IE8, he was referring to Regcure and Norton, I

*I had to uninstall IE8, because it prevented my opening any attachments - I
had to download them first, before viewing, which is annoying. Once I zapped
IE8, problem was solved.
