Please help!! I cannot get to a website if I enter the
address in the address bar. The only way I can do it is
to go to a search engine and search the website. The
browser freezes and I have to open another window. Also I
cannot view my prevously looked at websites when I click
on the address bar.

Hi,

Being unable to properly use Internet Exploerer, specifically in the
capacity you mentioned, could be the result of a SpyWare infection. To see if
this is indeed the case, you may want to try the following:

Programs, such as AdAware (link below), will identify and eliminate such
evil programs, including those that could be responsible for the symptoms you
are describing. Download AdAware here:

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

Be sure to update it after downloading it so as to maximise your
protectedness (Yes, I made that word up).

In addition, download and Install CWShredder, available from:

http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip

CWShredder is a companion to AdAware, and catches things that AdAware may have
missed, and vice-versa.

The following also provides and excellent description in regards to
SpyWare, and how to handle it:

http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Best regards,

Altrus
