Internet explorer 6 Issues

Hi,

My Microsoft Internet Explorer browser has a tendency to
shutdown upon browsing web sites. A window pops up
saying that "Internet explorer has encountered problems
and must shutdown", then a option is given on whether I
want to "send" or "don't send" the error message to
Microsoft.

I have no idea what is causing this. I have frequently
scanned for virus's and trojans and my PC is clean. I
have been to the Windows update site and I have all of
the latest critical updates loaded. I can't seem to find
any fixes at Microsoft regarding this issue.

If anyone has encountered this problem or knows how to
fix it I would appreciate the help.

To clarify the problem. The Internet explorer does work,
but it seems the further I go into a website the more
likely the problem will occur. Could this be an issue
that my Explorer is having with "certain" web pages
within a site?

Anyhow, hopefully someone out there can help.

Hi Dean :)

You may have a hijacker, malware, spyware or parasites on your system
causing this problem. In addition to running your updated anti-virus
program, you should do the following to be sure none of these are present on
your system. Some variants of malware can replicate themselves over and
over if not removed properly. Please follow all instructions carefully to
be sure your system is thoroughly cleaned

Be sure to run CWShredder, Ad-aware and Spybot.
Also be sure to use the HijackThis. Please do not post your log to this
newsgroup, but to the SpywareInfo or the Aumha HiJackThis forums

evaluate your log and advise you of the necessary steps to clean your
system.

Am having the same problem and it's extremely frustrating.
I thought it was my computer or the spyware, so I
uninstalled the spyware, but it hasn't helped. Plus it's
an intermittent problem.

I use Yahoo for my email and am experiencing problems
accessing my email from IE. Last few days I cannot view
my incoming email on Yahoo.

No thanks. I don't have a problem. I don't have XP..... or SP2. I also
have Firefox, but, like IE better. :)
