In teh last couple of days, suddenly when I am access websites with pictures
(match.com for example), the pictures will no longer appear. They ahve been
fine in the past. This is the case for a number of websites, so it seems to
have something to do with my computer. Is there a setting that may have been
changed?

the SAME thing is happening on both mine and my husband's computers. if
anyone knows what's going on, please post--we're going crazy not being able
to access sites that we need for work!

oh, and i should mention that firefox works fine for me on some of the sites
that don't work with IE, so IE is clearly the problem. the other sites don't
accept firefox, otherwise i'm sure they'd be fine on them too.

Run some spyware and virus scans. Also, open Internet Explorer and go to
"Tools"
-> "Internet Options" -> "Advanced" tab -> scroll down until you find
"Multimedia and make sure that "Show Pictures" is selected.
