Please help.. A few weeks ago, my IE went caput.. I kept
spitting out this message every time I tried to get on
the internet: "Internet Explorer has encountererd a
problem and needs to close. We are sorry for this
inconvenience." I kept send in "error report" but that
did not do any good. I kept also re-install my windows
XP home edition and still it has not changed the
problem. Please help.. I realy need your helps.. Thanks.

This is probably a spyware / parasite problem.

From Control Panel> Internet Options> Advanced> uncheck "Enable third party
browser extensions."

That should allow IE to work. Then Run CWShredder from
http://www.net-integration.net/tools/hijackthis.html CWShredder is only
about 125 KB so it could be downloaded from another machine onto a floppy
disk if necessary.

You might also be able to browse and download programs from the address bar
of Windows Explorer.

Follow up CWShredder with Ad-aware and Spybot S&D.
See: Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Also note the many security tips at that site.

You should re-enable browser extensions after the cleanup.
