From what we heard at the recent MVP Summit, I wouldn't expect to see IE7
released for WinXP SP2 or other OSS until 4Q06 at the earliest.

Sigh. When IE 7 was first announced, I had hopes it would be
available in final form by the end of 2005. Looks like a looooong wait.

You're not alone, HF. It would appear that getting Vista out by 4Q06 is the
#1 priority now and everything else falls below it on the list.

The folks at Mozilla/Firefox are probably delighted at this long
delay. Gives them more time to improve Firefox and further erode IE's
market share.

The more they erode IE's market share the more the malware writers will go
after them.
