I have a problem with my internet connection. I run XP pro and my PC randomly disconnects from the server and the only way to get it back again is to disable and then enable the network connection. Is there any suggestions on how I might remedy this problem.? I use a cable modem, motorola surfboard 4200 USB if that makes any difference
Many thank

Most likely, you have the blaster virus. Check with Norton's website to
download a fix.

Check for spyware and viruses. If your computer is clean, then, check with
your ISP.

Although it's good practice to have a current antivirus program running,
this does not sound at all like MSBlaster. The random nature indicates
a possible hardware problem. If your modem supports it, ethernet is a
better way of connecting the pc to the cable modem than usb. Otherwise,
try a different usb cable, or contact your ISP for a replacement. Cable
modems do go bad. Or do you have a lot of usb devices connected to your
computer?
