5 PCs peer to peer connected together. They all can see each other and share
files… 4 PCs can get to the internet but one PC can’t. I tried different
browsers such as Firebox; it couldn’t get to the internet. I tried with new
NIC, still no connection to the internet. There is no firewall and default
security. I appreciate any help

can you ping a public ip from the problem computer? if yes, can you ping yahoo.com?

No, I can’t ping yahoo.com. I can ping all other PCs one the same network. I
did not mention that all 5 PCs are running Win XP Pro. They all have DHCP
enabled, except the problem PC. The only way it connects to the other PCs is
to have a static IP. That means I can ping the router and DNS and other PCs.

I used different utility software to fix the win sock, it showed 147 errors.
I already restore OS with recovery option, it didn’t help.
