Can't be done. Learn how to communicate with your son.

If you have a router, there's a possibility you can setup times that you
make the Internet available. I know this is possible within the Linksys
WRT54G router. This can be done on a per day basis and during the hours you
specify. You can also block particular URL addresses and websites by
keywords.

I have set this up for a client last year. Little backwards but it works. Go
and by a battery (9v) timer and split the cable entry into that timer. Set
the timer to shut at the hour you want and open at the hour you want. This
will effectively kill the Internet connection for that time that is set.
Like I said a bit backwards but it works.

You're also a responsible parent, but it might not be possible to do
what you seek. You might be better trying out one of the Internet
filtering packages to see if you can prevent him accessing his favourite
sites - thus taking away the incentive for him to use it.

This problem is getting widespread as more and more people learn what can be
done online!

Back to your problem. You cannot disconnect as affirmed by other replies! Best
go talk to the teenager and if this problem persists (and even gets to a point
where it gets confrontational) then the teenager has symptoms of Internet
Addiction Disorder (IAD). Seek help!

If he was a responsible parent, then he wouldn't need technology to get
his son to listen.

My parents didn't need technology to get me to turnoff the TV when I was
a kid.

It's an interesting idea Peter.
How do you prevent the user just changing the time or putting in a
direct mains cable?

Now that is up to the person that is controlling it. How he would handle it
I have no idea. When I installed that cut off\timer switch for my client it
was installed into his office at his company. How he handled it was his
business. I got my money and was happy as was he.
