I'm running Windows 2000 proffesional on my laptop and need to connect to a
LAN to access the internet. I also need to enter a user name and password. I
have tried everything i know but with no luck. How do I set this up?

You probably need to talk to your network administrator to obtain
a suitable set of IP addresses.
