Internet Connection Sharing

I have an IBM laptop connected via LAN to an IBM Aptiva. I share the
internet connection through the Aptiva onto a ADSL broadband service. I
recently had problems with my D-Link ADSL modem and was instructed to set the
DNS server address to 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.3. I have just tried connecting to
the Internet through my laptop and get a DNS Sensor error and am unable to
connect. Not entirely sure if problem is related to DNS Server changes on
Aptiva. Have tried running WINSOCK and LSP-Fix as per previous threads, but
no luck. Any ideas?

See if this helps: "Resources for Troubleshooting Internet Connection
Sharing in Windows XP" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=308021).

Thorsten,

thanks for your help. Found an entry on the website you suggested that
highlighted the need for the client PC to obtain the IP address
automatically. Mine was hardcoded for some reason. All is working now.
thanks again.
