Please tell me how to disable Internet Connection Sharing
in Windows XP. I tried unsuccesfully to set up a hub to
share an internet connection to no avail. I now get the
message ""LAN: This connection has limited or no
connectivity." Please tell me how to revert to the
default settings so that I may surf again. Windows XP now
prevents me from deleting any of my connections and will
not renew my IP address. Instead, I am given a subnet
mask og 255.255.0.0 . Thanks

Hi

Control Panel /Network Connection.

Right Click on Local Area Connection choose Properties click on the Advance
Tab. Disable ICS.

Hi,

I have the same problem, I can not disable Internet
Connection Sharing.
BUT, on the Advanced tab the Disable ICS box is not shown.
Then how to disable ICS?
Anyone know?

Hi,

I had the same problem, and I have not found any way to
disable ICS.
However, using the function System Restore I managed to
get rid of ICS.
You find it under Start-Program-Accesories-System Tools-
System restore. There you can restore XP to the
configuration of an earlier date.

I have tried all the basic solutions. This did not work.
thanks Jack.
