Can an XP/pro laptop that has NIC connection to the Internet and a
working WiFi card provide a WiFI internet connection to other users ?

Yes. However, it would be easier to use a wireless router to give
Internet access to the laptop and the other computers instead of
setting up Internet Connection Sharing on the laptop.

1. Get the wireless network connection between all of the computers
working first.

2. Enable ICS on the laptop's NIC connection:
a. Right-click the NIC connection.
b. Click Properties.
c. Click Advanced
c. Put a check mark in the Internet Connection Sharing box.
d. If it asks what to use for the home network connection, tell it
to use the WiFi card connection.

3, Configure the other computers' WiFi connections to obtain an IP
address automatically.
