I have a home network setup, the host computer has
Windows Professional running, my Laptop has Windows Home
edition running. I've set up the network using the
network setup wizrd and the network and internet
connection sharing works fine. (hardware is fine).

HOWEVER when i turn the computers off and restart them,
the shared internet connection dissapears and i am unable
to browse the net on the laptop, but both computers can
still se one another on the network.....i have to run the
wizard on both computers again in order to surf the net
on my laptop.

Very annoying, dont know whats wrong, would appreciate
any advice. Thanks.

Aisha,

You can map your drives also through Explorer.
RIGHT click on My Network Places....select Explore....on
the left hand pane..click on the plus sign of My Network
Places then Click on Entire Network...click on the plus of
Microsoft Windowos Network..click on the plus of your
workgroup or domian...there you will all the PC hooked up
to that workgroup or domain...select your PC and then
select the file you want to share...right click on it to
choose MAP NETOWOKR DRIVE..there you will have the option
to select a drive letter and you'll see at the bottom a
box that reads Reconnect at logon..
This should enable you to hook back everytime you logon at
home. Remember that when you your not logon at home it
will state that it can not fine the other mapped drive
letters...just click on the options that says conect next
time..
