The Host Computer always dials out when the Client Computer is awake.
Apparently the Client Computer is trying to access the Internet all by
itself--for an unknown reason.

I would like the Host Computer to dial out only when a computer operator on
the Client Computer tries to access the Internet (naturally).

The problem is NOT spyware, automatic updates, etc....I have turned all of
that stuff off or removed it and I still get the dialing all the time......

Norman,

If the client causes the host to dial out, when the client is not actively being
used (by a person), then something is making it do that.

Get Port Explorer (free) from
<http://www.diamondcs.com.au/portexplorer/index.php?page=home> to show you what
network connections your computer is actually opening, and what processes are
opening them. And Process Explorer (free) from
<http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/procexp.shtml>. Provides way more
information than Task Manager. Port Explorer and Process Explorer, together,
will show you what is causing the internet access.
