Internet Connection Problem

I am using a Video Editing Program that requires an Internet Connection to
work. It used to work seamlessly and then every once in a while it would stop
working because it could not see the Internet Connection.

I use Roadrunner, a Broadband Cable Internet Service. I can be using the
Internet and the Program will still not be able to find the connection
(sometimes). Sometimes it will work. So evidently it is intermittant.

Where do I look in Windows XP Home (sp1) for the connection that programs
access in the background.

I am using the Linksys Router to send the Internet to two (2) different
computers. Both of them will have the same problem when running this software.

Paigelee.
Has this problem come up in the last week or so? If yes there was a problem to major ISP's, that caused many RoadRunner customers problems. This might have affected you.

Actually last night it did work. I thought it might have been the
intertittant aspect again. Thanks for the information. It may have caused the
problem. I'll keep trying it and if it keeps working - I'll be happy. Thanks

Paigelee and other RR users,
Be aware this may be only a temporary "truce" between Cogent Communications and Level 3 Communications. This may flare up again in the very near future.
