After accessing the internet for over a year suddenly
there is no connection to the internet.

I changed nothing at all.

There are three computers on a home LAN, all connected
through a router. Only one computer is affected.

I have checked and rechecked the network connection.
Then firewall is not on. Everything seems to be OK.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I am also having this same problem. I lost my connection somehow by connecting my dialup and LAN internet connection at the same time. Now my LAN connection is lost on this computer, only this computer, all other network systems are unaffected. The dialup continues to work. I tried reseting up the network wizard but that keeps bringing me back to the same result. I even uninstalled all my network devices in an attempt to reconfigure but that also failed. Now every time I run the wizard it keeps resulting in the same thing. The weird thing is Im up to "network bridge (9)" even though i have no others

Another questionable thing i noticed is my network bridge shows status in packets, previously it showed status in bytes transfered. Perhaps this has something to do with the problem. But Im to the point where Im gonna reinstall Windows. You know, at times like this I wish I was running a Linix system, considerably more network friendly.
