Internet and LAN problems!

I am having problems using IE and my OE. My problem
started after my desktop computer was infected with either
(or both) or Welchia or Blaster Worm. I have now
completely removed both infections.

I can connect to the internet okay but from then on I am
unable to view any web pages or make contact with my mail
server. Its like I have a connection but my computer
cannot communicate with any other machines.

I also had a LAN setup between the desktop and a laptop
which also stopped working.

Any ideas where to start looking?

I, too, am having the same exact problem. I looked in
administrative tool, then services, then Remote Access
Connection Manager Service. Instead of saying "Started" it
said "Stopped". Everytime I click to start it, I get Error
5: Access Denied. I am also getting other error messages:

2. Specified module could not be found
3. No memory for track buffer
4. Could not create buffers

Its possible that those infections have corrupted your ip
protocol. try reinstalling them and see if that helps.
