internet address on deskctop

Is it possible to put an internet link on the desktop as a shortcut? Windows

If you want to put a shortcut to a specific web address, just bring up the
page and click on File, then Send and one of the choices is "Shortcut to
Desktop".

Or just grab the icon at the start of the address in the address bar and
drag-and-drop it on the desktop.
