Hi, all
Is there anyway off recording Clients internet activity, I.e. web pages
visited, times and duration?

I have four Win2k clients connected to two Win2k Advance servers.

One server is domain controller with AD and the other uses NAT as a gateway
for the internet.

If not, is there anyway I can prevent clients from deleting there internet
history from there local machines?

Thanks in advance for your help

Paul.

An easy (and free) solution. Just download Sygate's Personal Firewall. It
is an excellent software-based firewall that will record all incoming and
outgoing traffic. It also keeps detailed security logs.

There is a Pro version of this software, but the free version is more than
adequate for you needs, and comes with a variety of features, including
advanced features where you can block access to certain sites or IP address,
plus setup user groups, where certain computers can access certain sites and
other computers are blocked.

I wouldn't trust this software as your only security measure, but if you
want a detailed look of internet activity across your network, this might be
a good program for you.

You could set this up on each client, but then the users can still delete
the logs/remove the program, etc. You might want to just set it up on the
server. It will say quite clearly in the logs which network computers are
access which sites.
