Internal External Domain Names

Hi,

I ve just read about best practice creating subdomains for active directory
networks e.g. registering a name such a test.com for external networks, and
sub.test.com for internal.

Does this mean that when doing dcpromo for a new domain, you create domain
sub.test.com?

How do internal external networks link up? DNS forwarders?

Yes, the forest root will be sub.test.com. Although you can just simply
have two seperate dns names such as Microsoft does - Microsoft.com and
MSN.com

Yes. You can conditionally forward to your external dns -or- just forward
to your external ISP.
