Hi
Now we have AD domain for internal use. It named abc.ru. It use Windows DNS use Integrated Zone. In feature we planning to register External domain name abc.ru. Zone will be store on FreeBSD DNS.
My question: Will have AD domain users problems with resolving external name

Best Regards Andrey

Andrey,

If you are currently using - as an internal DNS name - abc.ru and you plan
to register an external domain name abc.ru you should not have any problems.
There are two things that you will need to make sure to do:

1) create a host record ( A Record ) called www and give it the public IP
Address of your web site. This way your internal users will be able to
access www.abc.ru without any problems

2) in your internal WIN2000 DDNS you will want to possibly make use of
Forwarders ( the Root Hints will already be there ) and you would point them
to your External DNS.

You will need to make sure that your WIN2000 and WINXP Clients receive ONLY
your internal DNS information ( the IP Address of your internal DNS
Server ).

HTH,

Cary
