Internal Error: Disk group has no valid configuration copies

I have a W2K server with sp4. System/boot disk is configured as Basic with no
problems. There are 2 SCSI expansion modules connected with various RAID
going on.They are all configured as Dynamic Disks. Hardisk fault the other
day, resulted in one lost controller. Now replaced and ServeRAID manager
confirms all RAID is OK.

Now DiskManager shows all my Dynamic Disks as offline. DISKPART can see them
and reports them online, but no volumes or partitions. How can I get them
back?

According to Q294244, I have to locate the old database and correct the
pointer in the backup LDM header. Please tell me how I can do this?

My only other option, i guess, is to revert to Basic and restore from backup?

Thanks in advance

You must contact Microsoft Product Support Services (PSS) to locate the old
database and correct the pointer in the backup LDM header

Yes, I work for the public sector and we have used up our limit of 10 support
calls in Microsoft agreement. Money's tight here, that's why I'm using the
newsgroup. Can you help me please? It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If your problem is a result of what's outlined in the article then there
should be no charge. Just reference the article ID when you call.
