Internal Error 2203

When attempting to download Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0.8 i receive the message
'Internal Error 2203. C:\WINDOWS\Installer\377373.msi,-2147287008'... The
Install wizard then reverses the installation process and i'm left with no
install.

I have tried to download this five times now and i keep getting the same
message...

Can anyone help please?

Note that the article was written for Office 2000, but the underlying cause
might be the same, as both of them are Windows Installer error codes.
