Currently I run my cable modem ether cable through a router to two computer
NICs. I'm seriously considering dropping the cable modem service for a
dial-up but how do I do the LAN with an internal modem in the Dell Inspiron
8200 laptop so the desktop can access the Internet through the laptop
modem? The desktop has no modem--only its NIC. Can a Dell Inspiron 8200
function like a router to itself and to the desktop? Am I sol with these
"constraints"? If I bought an internal modem for the desktop both machines
could not access the Internet at the same time. And regardless of Internet
access how do I hook the two boxes together to share files?
Thank you.
