Internal Application Error Message

Tried to download Media Player version 9 today at least
five times. Tried to both open it as well as save to
hard drive. Icon came on. But I can't seem to open
media player. Get the "Internal Application Error has
occurred" message. Very frustrating. Any suggestions?
