Intermittent Playing of CD's

Please help.

For some reason, some CD's will play with sound and some
won't. We cannot find any reason for this so any help
would be appreciated.

You are asking about sound/music CDs, right? This

problem can depend on many factors. The format of the
music/track might not be compatible with your sound
card. Recommend you go to: Start/My Computer/right
click under Devices with removable storage, your CD-ROM
(probably "D" drive) and click Properties. Click
AutoPlay tab, under Select contents..... click on down
arrow and see if "music" is listed. Set it on "music"
and click "Restore Defaults".
