When I boot or restart my computer, a Dell 2350, running XP SP2 it will not
make it to the Welcome Screen. Instead I get a black and white page that
says something about the last good configuration I then press ENTER and it
will reboot normally.
What I have noticed the little blue boxes that move from left to right
during boot up do not flow smoothly but seem to stall when this happens.
This does not happen very often and otherwise every thing else is normal.
I have checked for viruses, adware and spyware and to the best of my
knowledge the machine is clean.
What I am most concerned about could this be an indication of a hard drive
failure. Belarc Advisor shows the HD to be healthy.
Any advice as to what is going on would be appreciated.
