Intergrating the Security Roll-up patch

I read a message from someone that said they had integrated the Security
roll-up patch, in with the XP SP1a install. So that in essence, when they do
a fresh install, the RU1 patches are already applied.

I've tried to do this, but the message keeps saying there is a problem, most
likely with the path I gave it.

I had no problem doing an Integrated update with SP1 and SP1a, I just can't
get the RU1 patch to work, is there a trick to it ?

The folder structure is basically e:\winxp_pro\i386 the command I use,
is update /s:e:\winxp_pro

Again, this works fine with the Service packs, but the RU1 says something is
wrong.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Dale

Dale,

Not sure what you are trying, but I suggest - highly - reviewing the pages
at:

www.msfn.org

Particularly:
http://msfn.org/articles.php?action=show&id=38

And:
http://www.msfn.org/unattended/xp/installhotfixes.htm

And make it all run without you:
http://www.msfn.org/unattended/xp/index.htm

Want a network version with apps, etc as well?
http://unattended.sourceforge.net/

Thanks Shenan, I'm not sure this is the same thing, but as long as it gets
the job done, that's all I care about.

That second link should be exactly what you need. I have done that and have
a CD that installs all but 2 updates (critical) now.. Still leave 14
non-crits for gui.. but that's not too bad. heh

Yep, after looking at it closer, I see that it talks about doing the
integrated install that I was looking for.

Thanks
