Interface problems

I have noticed, not just in Microsoft AntiSpyware but in other products as
well, both MS and others, that there may be a need for the product to run in
Safe Mode. Unfortunately, safe mode can only be counted on to support
640x480dpi, and 16 colours.
This of course can be a problem since it means that some of the controls and
the display content can not be seen properly, particularly at the bottom of
the page.
An additional problem is that when there is a list of items that have been
detected, scrolling the list may not work very well, particularly when there
are items from an expanded part of the list running over the bottom of the
scrolling area. This problem occurs when Windows is running in normal mode
as well as safe mode.
I thought by now at least one of these problems might have been addressed in
some way, though maybe they will only be addressed in the next release.
One other point, I had a file on my system which installs xxxAccess onto the
system. None of my scans with Microsoft AntiSpyware or Norton Internet
Security detected it at a problem, apart from indicating that something was
attempting to change the Internet Explorer settings. I would have attempted
to report the file, but the support built into Microsoft AntiSpyware only
seems to allow for reporting detected problems, and the program itself is
never detected.

Dave

If the Tools, Suspected Spyware Report function works on your machine, that
is the way to report the issue with the undetected threat.

The way to get it cleaned is probably to go through guided cleaning using
HijackThis logs via a site such as:
