Interesting Outlook 2003 Issue

Hi,

I'm running Outlook 2003 on a server and have no problems opening it manually.
However, when I try to open Outlook programatically I get the following error
message "The server is not available. Contact your administrator if this
condition persists".

I have the same program running on another server and it works fine there. I
checked the email configurations on the working server and they're the same
as those on the server where it's not working.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

What server? If it's an Exchange server you should not have Outlook
installed on it, it can really corrupt the MAPI libraries for Exchange,
Outlook or both.

That sort of error should not be shown just in trying to start Outlook. How
are you doing it, using CreateObject?
