Interactive button won't save

I have tried to use the interactive buttons feature in fp03. On one occassion
it save 2 images missing the third. Then I decided to do the on-line
tutorial, following step by step upon saving the page it only saved 1 image,
missing 2. Page options are set to complete and all boxes are checked. I
would like to use this feature but something is amiss with it. Any suggestion
for what to do about the problem. I do not use shared borders.

Silly questions:

Right click an Interactive Button (IB) and choose properties.
On the Image Tag, are both (hover and pressed) button types ticked?
When you add a new IB and save the page, in the Save Embedded Images
dialogue, are all three buttons listed?

Yes, both hover and pressed are checked, and when I save the page the
embedded images do not list 3 images as it should. I have received different
results trying twice, once with the interactive tutorial. Looking, using code
view I see the following path references
button19 - images
(not saved in images folder)
button1A - FrontPageTempDir
button1B - FrontPageTempDir
Why are the last 2 images not saving to the images folder?

You do have a site open when doing this, and not just a page/file, correct?

Ok, just want to make sure. I can't offer any help as I don't use the IBs.

Thanks Thomas, I consider myself an itermediate fp2003 user but decided to
use the online tut as I don't normally use the IBs either and thought perhaps
I was missing something, but the tut did not save the images either. There is
1 style that would really complement the site I'm working on, but if I can't
get these images to save to the image folder I'll just use a java menu.
Sometimes it's better to just go with what you know it saves time instead of
fiddling around with triffels.

I've tried to reproduce the problem, even opening a page without opening a
site first, and can't. I have never had this problem with IBs, even with
the FP2003 Beta.

You could try the usual fixes:
With FrontPage closed:

Find and delete all *.web files - these are hidden system files usually
stored in
%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
Find and delete all FP temp. files - usually in (for FP2003)
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\FrontPageTempDir

With FrontPage web open:
Tools recalculate hyperlinks

If it still does not work, check that the problem isn't related to saving
images, rather than an IB problem:
create a new page, place some images on it (from the images folder) and
create thumbnails for the images.
Save the page and check that all the thumbnails are in the embedded images
dialogue and saved.

If there is still a problem, try Detect and Repair from the FP Help menu.
