Just got a wireless intellimouse explorer.

It doesn't seem to do what I thought it would.

Am I missing something?

I installed the s/w that came with it - same thing on the web site.

horiz scroll doesn't work in the setup test screen or in Excel

Autoscroll works in Excel but not other porgrams.

I thought I could set this up differently for different programs but I
can't find any info how to do that.

can anybody point me to instructions? - or can't this do what I have
heard it can?

I've had a similar experience, scroll and tilt-wheel works erratically with
different programs. From what I've read in the groups the basic problem is
that IP 5.0 sucks, as did 4.0 BTW, and we should add to our bedtime prayers one
for the quick release of 5.01 or 5.1 or whatever.

I just got a new system and when I went to the MS web site to get the XP
drivers, I was pointed to IP 5.0 software. I downloaded it and
installed it but was disappointed to find that Escape could no longer be
assigned to any button.

While I was there I also downloaded drivers for Win98/WinMe as my other
two systems run them. The software for these was IP 4.12. I loaded
this on XP and there are no problems plus Escape can be assigned.

I don't know if that will solve your problems or if that version will
work with your mouse.
