IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 & IntelliPoint 6.0 problems

There seems to be a bug with the IP6.0 software. Whenever I have it
installed I notice that if I'm using Excel or Outlook or Photoshop, I can
often see the screen refresh itself. That's the only way I can describe
what seems to be happening. But it just seems to refresh itself very
quickly. It doesn't go blank or anything but you can tell something is
happening. It's VERY annoying, especially if you're doing work in Excel or
Photoshop, seeing it refresh like that every couple of seconds is annoying
as hell! I removed IP6.0 and it stopped. What gives?

You're not alone. It's the "ipoint.exe" program that appears to be
the culprit. You can disable it using msconfig, but you will lose
some mouse functionality in the process.
